Wednesday, January 28

Today we got through 2.3 and part of 2.4.

I gave a quiz and collected homework from 1.4 and 1.5.  (You may turn that in next week as well.)

We’ll have a test on Chapter 1 on Wednesday next week.  I recommend that you finish your Chapter 1 homework by Monday, so you’ll be able to ask questions when we review for the test.

1.6 – 2.3 will be due next Wednesday.  There won’t be a quiz.

Have a good weekend!

Note – I fixed the bug with the notes not downloading properly.  Let me know if you have any trouble viewing the pdfs.

Today I finished lecturing on 1.4, and then finished 1.5 and the beginning of 1.6.  Homework from 1.4 and 1.5 will be due next week.  Everyone gets an extension on their homework through Monday, February 2.  If you will not be able to get the book before then, please come talk to me.

I gave a quiz today.  There will be a short quiz every Wednesday in class.

I’ve fixed (fingers crossed) the bug in the link for last Wednesday’s lecture notes.  Please let me know if you have any more trouble viewing them.

Have a great weekend!

PDF of Chapter 1

Thanks to a hint from someone in class, I’ve found the link for the pdf of the first chapter.   (It appears to be a clean copy, although, of course, you should always be suspicious of anything you download from the web.  This does originate at the publisher’s website, so it seems pretty secure.)

Here’s the link:

You can also Google “Intermediate Algebra 5th Tussy” and find it as well.

Today we continued in Chapter 1, finishing 1.3 and getting a start on 1.4.

Homework from 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 will be due on Wednesday, with an extension if you haven’t gotten the book yet.

Also, if you signed up for an ebook, the code you need is:  ccsf 1342 0910

Have a great weekend – remember Monday is a holiday celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Did you know that it’s also a day of service?
